College Hill Children’s Center, located on the second and third floors of a historic tobacco warehouse at 417 Frederick Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has received the highest rating for quality early education in Pennsylvania—a Keystone Star Level Four —as well as accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children. In addition to expansive infant, toddler and preschool classroom spaces, the center boasts a kindergarten classroom, a private space for nursing mothers, a large indoor playroom and a fenced, outdoor play spaces with equipment for all ages.
Lancaster General Health and Franklin & Marshall College have contracted with Hildebrandt Learning Centers, a leader in developing and operating employer-related early learning centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, to operate the center.
College Hill Children’s Center also has a Parents’ Association that puts on special events and fundraisers for the center. The Parents’ Board, made up of Parents Association members, oversees the operation of the College Hill Children’s Center for F&M and LGH.
